I ordered this in Dark Cherry when the price was so low that it was worth buying it without seeing it in a store.I purchased this particular model for these reasons:1) The back measurement was just tall enough for my 6' husband to sit in without his head completely hanging over the back. Also, the seat is deep enough that he can sit in it without being uncomfortable... you'd be surprised how shallow and narrow and short some of the other gliders are.2) It reclines.3) It was cheap.4) The seat is wide enough that it fits petite me and a nursing pillow.Other notes of interest: This glider was the cheapest I could find that reclined. If you can find a cheaper reclining glider, that might be worth looking into, as there is nothing particularly special about this glider. The recline on this glider is approximately 45 degrees from vertical. It does not recline as flat as some of the fancy Dutailiers or Shermags, but I didn't need it to. I just needed it to recline enough so that I could balance a sleeping baby on my chest comfortably.Ragazzi was a fine brand of baby furniture that was purchased by Stork Craft in the last few years. When the brand was purchased, Stork Craft was unable to honor customer warranties for previously purchased Ragazzi furniture, and this made a lot of people angry. For instance, one year Baby Bargains gave this brand a failing grade because of the warranty issue. The latest grade is, I believe, an A.Be aware that this model might be discontinued. When I bought the ottoman later and separately, and I price compared at several websites. A couple websites had it for cheaper than Amazon, but it was out of stock, so I signed up to be notified when it was back in stock... and I just received an email the other day telling me the ottoman would never be back in stock at a particular site because it was discontinued. YMMV.I had no problems with cushion color like some of these reviews mention. On the dark cherry, the cushions are colored a kind of brownish-cream. They're not quite as light as I think of cream, but not dark enough to be called any other color.The box did arrive in pieces, but there was not a mark on my chair. As a bonus, much of the chair was already assembled, so it took us no time at all to put it together. This is in contrast to the Shermag I first ordered and ended up sending back.As for quality, the gliding motion is much smoother than bottom-of-the-line gliders, but not as smooth as top-notch Dutailier. I would put the motion on par with a Shermag. The recline mechanism also compares on par with Shermag but is not quite as smooth as the fancy Dutailiers.In all, I am pleased with my purchase. I expect to obtain a few years of good use out of it.

Buyer Beware

I read all of the reviews before buying this chair, so I was a little hesitant considering that several people received the wrong color of cushions or scratched furniture in beat up boxes. However, when I originally purchased the chair in Rubbed Black it was 60% off ($199) so I thought I would go ahead and give it a shot. The other reviewers were most often able to have their problems fixed (like having new cushions sent), and I figured that even a small amount of trouble would be worth it to get a $300 discount.When I received the first glider rocker I was upset to discover that two different colors of wood were sent in the box. The base of the chair and the back of the chair were rubbed black, however the arms that I was sent were dark cherry. I contacted amazon.com customer service and they had a replacement chair sent in rubbed black. Imagine my surprise when I opened the second chair and found that, once again, the base and back of the chair were rubbed black, but the arms were dark cherry. I called customer service at amazon.com again and they sent me a third chair. There were no more rubbed black chairs in stock, so they sent me the more expensive (by $100) dark cherry chair as a replacement because of all of my troubles with the first two chairs. I received the third chair tonight. I was relieved to find that all of the pieces were dark cherry. However, when I pulled the base out of the box I found out that the wood was snapped in 3 places. The box, while not in the greatest shape, was not crushed in a way that could explain the broken base, so it was obvious that the piece was broken outside of the box and then packed. I contacted amazon.com yet again and they are sending me another replacement dark cherry chair in hopes that between chair 3 and chair 4 there are enough intact parts to make a complete chair.I would have given up on this chair long ago except for the fact that I got what I originally thought was a great deal. Also, even though past reviewers complained about mistakes in cushion colors and smashed boxes, they seemed generally happy with the final product. I am still holding onto hope that I will end up with a whole chair after all of this, but it is really inexcusable that Regazzi packed 3 defective chairs and sent them to me. If I have gotten 3 defective chairs, there must be many more defective chairs that they are sending out to other people.To address the complaints that other reviewers have made, I got the correct color of cushions, but all of my boxes have been really torn up when they arrived. Both the rubbed black and dark cherry chairs came with beige cushions as pictured. As for the boxes, all boxes have had crushed corners and holes. However, I doubt that the damage to the boxes is from UPS as I receive packages from them all the time and have never received a box in this condition. From what I have experienced with the furniture from Regazzi, I can only assume that the boxes were damaged by them.I would like to say that the customer service reps at amazon.com have been wonderful throughout this entire ordeal. If they had not been I would have given up long ago. They have done everything that they can to make amends, and I have strongly recommended to them that they no longer do business with Regazzi.

Great value!

Very comfortable and roomy glider. My son-in-law has taken it over as his new chair. It was a snap to put together. I was a little concerned when it arrived because the packaging box was not in the best of shape but only found a few nicks which were easily hidden with scratch cover. I will be looking to buy another one soon. The value just could not be beat. It has not been used much yet so I am hoping it will hold up for the long haul.
